Here at #CareerGravity, we cite quite a few statistics from Jobvite and it’s time to update our stats again. They’re out with their latest social recruiting survey and the use of social media to find job candidates continues to grow. The survey was conducted online between May and June 2012; over 800 human resource and recruiting professionals in the U.S. participated in the survey. Respondents answered questions using an online survey tools and the response data is available only in aggregate form.
Jobvite President and CEO Dan Finnigan said:

We continue to see social recruiting gain popularity because it is more efficient than the days of sifting through a haystack of resumes. Some key stats include:
- 92% use or plan to use social recruiting
- 43% of recruiters who use social recruiting saw an increase in candidate quality
- 73% have successfully hired a candidate through social
- 31% of recruiters using social have seen a sustained increase in employee referrals
